Nexus and CANPASS

Nexus

NEXUS is a joint program between Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) designed to expedite the border clearance process for low-risk, pre-approved travelers into Canada and the United States.

When crossing at a land border, as a NEXUS member, you have access to dedicated NEXUS lanes that allow you to bypass line-ups and enjoy a quick and simplified entry process when traveling back and forth between Canada and the U.S.

The NEXUS card may also be used at a NEXUS kiosk at participating airports as an alternative to a passport when entering the United States and Canada by air. At this time, Windsor International Airport does not currently participate in the NEXUS program for customs clearance.

For additional information on the NEXUS program, and to obtain an application, please consult the Canada Border Services website.

CANPASS

Frequent international flyers who are Canadian or U.S. residents may be eligible to acquire a biometric CANPASS membership that allows expedited customs and immigration clearance into Canada. For more information or to apply, visit the CANPASS desk on the Departures Level at the south end of the terminal.
